Special combat operations pistol, developed for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Designed for a minimum lifetime of 30.000 rounds +P Ammo in cal. 45 ACP and supressor operation, the legendary MK 23 resists salt water, desert sand, heat, arctic temperatures. Double action trigger with external hammer, manual safety and an separated dechocking lever are special features which have been required by the SOCOM tender commission. Finally the SOCOM Tender went to Heckler & Koch which lead to the introduction of their Mark 23 pistol on May 1st, 1996.

The HK MK23 is a state of the art weapon, designed from a new space age polymer that fulfills toughest requirements without compromise. The Heckler & Koch Mark MK 23 features a hardchrome coated polygonbarrel with modified Browning locking system and HK patented recoil absorbing system. Outstanding accuracy was another requirement - the HK Mark 23 easily competes with any tuned sport pistol.
